There are several kinds of things that might influence us such as media, including TVs, radio and newspapers also there are the family, books, friends, etc. in the following, I will present both sides of the statement before concluding with my opinion as to which is best.
Let’s first write why we agree with mass media. One point to take into consideration is that movies can affect our behavior by copying. Learning habits from other people. Another factor that comes to mind is the news about the world. For example, we can know about world issues and the other countries from TVs. A final advantage is learning new information about geography, history and new technologies.
Let’s now consider the other side of the statement. For starter, one point of why I disagree with the mass media is there are other alternatives that might help us to shape our ideas. To clarify, we can learn from books and newspaper new words, ideas that might help us in our life. Yet another point which may shape people’s character is making their parents their role model. To illustrate, most children copy their parents act. So, sometime the influence of parent is greater than mass media.
To sum up, mass media is not the only way of learning and shaping people’s ideas there are several alternative ways that could affect us.
